About Us

Finding arrest records in Shoshone County takes some know-how. Each office holds something different. This site maps that route for you. It points you to the sheriff's records desk, the city-level contacts, the state corrections search, and the local outlets that publish SCSO-provided arrest lists. It is a private reference, not a government office. It also keeps no booking-photo galleries of its own.

What This Reference Does

Idaho law makes arrest information public in many cases, yet the pieces sit with different custodians rather than on one county web page. The sheriff and jail come first for Shoshone County bookings. Idaho Code section 20-601 spells out the intake steps, including a photograph and fingerprints. The county's own pages do not confirm a live roster or any online photo policy. The Department of Correction keeps a separate custody record for people under IDOC jurisdiction, and the courts handle whatever happens after booking.

These pages sort each route by office and show how to ask for a specific booking record or photo. Nothing official is stored here, and no booking photos are copied or collected.

Sources Mapped Here

Record type drives the layout of this site, so each page keeps the roles of the sheriff, the state, and the courts separate.

  • The home page combines the county booking-record, recent-list, roster, records-request, law, and custody explanations.
  • The Most Wanted page separates historical wanted publication from a current warrant check.
  • The Crime News & Mugshots page identifies the newspapers and regional outlets that cover Shoshone County.
  • The Kellogg, Pinehurst, and Wallace pages explain each city’s agency contact, county booking destination, and records handoff.
  • Official links point to SCSO, Idaho courts, IDOC, records forms, and the archive path without rehosting their material.

What We Cannot Do

This is a private reference service, plain and simple. It has no tie to the State of Idaho, Shoshone County, the Sheriff's Office, the jail, the courts, or any corrections agency. That independence has limits. No one here can release or transfer a person from custody. Staff cannot confirm whether someone is being held right now, and nothing on these pages substitutes for an official records response from the government.

  • It cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody.
  • It cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send money for another person.
  • It cannot give legal advice or decide whether a record should be released.
  • It cannot guarantee that an agency phone, fee, address, or publication remains current.

Only the originating agency, court, or corrections department can confirm its current record. Use the official custodian for custody, charges, release, or disposition.

Search Partner Disclosure

Some of the search boxes you'll see are powered by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices, terms, and result formats. When a visitor clicks through one of those tools and signs up for a paid service, Shoshone County Busted Mugshots may earn a referral fee, which helps keep the reference pages running. That arrangement buys no control. The partner's data, pricing, availability, and record results remain entirely its own.
